Does TRU only count steps?
Yes, for now it only counts steps. This allows us to focus on accuracy, reduce the size and have the best battery life to provide the best experience.
What are the bands made of?
The metallic bands are made from 14K PVD coating on nickel-free 316 stainless steel (the highest grade). This reduces the chances of tarnishing and increases durability as our products are designed for 24/7 wear. Water, shower, steam and ocean proof. Our silicon and nylon bands are made from hypoallergenic materials to ensure that they can be worn without irritation
Will it fit my ankle?
TRU comes in two sizes and our metallic and nylon options can be adjusted with extenders. To get your exact size please see our size chart here
What apps does TRU work with?
TRU will work with both Apple, Samsung and Android Health Kits at launch. So it should work out of the box, with most health apps. We’re also working on dedicated integrations with as many health apps as possible. Myfitnesspal, Strava and Loseit are some examples of our post launch apps we'll be integrating
Will wearing it on my ankle mean it thinks my foot wiggling is walking?
We actually tested this! Simple wiggling has almost no impact since you’re not moving your entire foot. However, swinging your legs will count as a step. So it depends on how aggressively you wiggle. Both ways, it’s still more accurate than your wrist.
How is my data used?
Your data is stored locally on your device and can be viewed via our app. You can also choose to sync it to the cloud. We never sell your data and you can choose to delete it at any time.
